Snakes
There are 27 species of snakes in Maryland only 2 of which are venomous. The Copperhead and Timber Rattlesnake are not common in heavily populated areas and are found more often in western counties of the state. The Black snake and Garter snake are found throughout suburban neighborhoods entering homes and buildings in search of mice and rats. Most citizens are unaware that all native snakes in the state of Maryland are protected by law. This means it is illegal to injure or kill them.
If you encounter a snake in your home or building give us a call and we’ll dispatch a Wildlife Control Technician to remove the snake safely and locate the source of entry. Mid-Atlantic Wildlife Control can also treat the perimeter of your home or building with humane deterrents and seal all potential entry points.
